Maritime Work Comp, USL&H and MEL

With an in depth understanding of the market and long established relationships with our companies, ISR provides clients with considered advice, exceptional service and creative solutions to their maritime workers’ compensation needs.

Our markets can provide All States coverage for all aspects of your business including State Act, Jones Act - Maritime Employers Liability and United States Longshoreman and Harbor Worker’s Compensation Act – USLH coverage for small, medium and large employers. Options for additional coverage including Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, Alternate Employer, Waiver of Subrogation are also available upon request.

State Act Workers’ Compensation programs do not cover employees subject to the Jones Act or USLH statutes. These are federal acts subject to more generous benefits schedules, compressed reporting schedules and increased penalties and fines for noncompliance. A thorough review of these exposures should be part of any maritime operator’s comprehensive risk management program.
